Idaho Falls, Idaho
Enjoy one of the TOP Viewing areas for the Solar Eclipse of 2017! We have 5 hotels located in Idaho Falls and the community is planning many events to welcome our guests. One thing is for sure, Astronomer Jeffery Bennett will be joining the Idaho Falls community during the Solar Eclipse and is putting on an entire day of events at Melaleuca field! He has some fantastic educational videos here. His friend, the Astronaut Alvin Drew will also be in Idaho Falls. The City of Idaho Falls recently announced that Brother’s Osborne will be live in Concert at the Sandy Downs! The Museum of Idaho is an official NASA viewing site!
Each room will receive a custom eclipse t-shirt and one pair of solar eclipse viewing glasses (Click here to order additional shirts in advance). Additionally, we will have extra t-shirts and eclipse glasses for sale. We are only 213 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and a quick 109 miles into the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

Pocatello, Idaho
While not on the path of direct Totality, Pocatello is only 49 miles from Idaho Falls and a quick drive to many other viewing areas. The Fairfield Inn & Suites is our newest hotel and just opened on June 28th. Each room will receive one pair of Eclipse glasses. Pocatello is bringing in the amazing and talented Piano Guys, who will be playing at the new Portneuf Health Trust Amphitheatre on August 18th. Also, just a few miles up the road George Lopez will be performing LIVE at the Shoshone Bannock Hotel on August 20th.
Twin Falls/Jerome, Idaho
Not on the path of direct totality, Jerome is a quick drive to many prime viewing areas, and the perfect stop between Idaho and Oregon. The best viewing area within driving distance is Sun Valley.

Boise/Meridian/Nampa, Idaho
Only 46 miles into Oregon both Nampa, Idaho and Meridian, Idaho offer a great atmosphere and a quick drive into Oregon. Both communities are part of the Greater Boise area and offer many activities and things to do, including the 20th Annual Winefest Friday, August 18 at 5:30pm on the Basque Block.
