Laura Selander, General Manager
Laura Selander began working in the hospitality industry at The Plaza in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2008 as a parking attendant after 17 years in residential Property Management. She adapted quickly to the hospitality industry and moved through the ranks from Security Officer, Security Supervisor, Executive Housekeeper to front desk agent and finally as a Front Desk Manager. During the remodel of the hotel, she was promoted to Assistant to the Director of Hotels and was responsible for the remodel punch list and communications between construction and the Hotel Executives. After completing the remodel, she was transferred to the hotel sales department.
In May 2011 Laura left the Plaza Hotel and joined the reservations team at The D hotel to further her career and in May 2014 she accepted a position with Arizona Charlie’s Hotel where she managed and operated nine departments within the hotel before leaving to move to Idaho in 2019.
In May 2021 Laura joined InnTrusted as a front desk agent at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Burley, Idaho and within one month was promoted to Front Office Manager. She was instrumental in helping coordinate the pre-opening preparations, the first 90 days of opening and the hotel’s Grand Opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. In October 2021 Laura was asked to step in as the General Manager of the hotel and excitedly agreed.
In her spare time, she enjoys her family, her horses Skip and Sugar and her St. Bernard Cinnamon.
