• Maria has been with our hotel since before the doors opened 8 years ago.
• She is a loyal and invaluable employee.
• Maria was demoted from executive housekeeper, yet she stuck it out and learned and grew and was then promoted back to executive housekeeper.
• Maria has the respect of her team. She is a leader by example. She will never ask her girls do something that she wouldn’t herself do.
• She always goes above and beyond for the customers. She is always smiling and greeting the guests. She is part of the home away from home environment.
• Maria has impeccable housekeeping labor. She holds her housekeepers responsible and makes sure they are out of here on time.
• Maria will do anything for the hotel and has even filled in for breakfast on numerous occasions in the last 8 years.
• She has taken night classes in order to improve her education and understanding of the English language. She is also a mother of 3 boys!!
• Maria takes constructive criticism very well and takes the comments and grows from them. She constantly tells me that she wants to continue to learn as much as she can to be the best she can be at her job.
• Maria attends our yearly Choice standards meeting. She is responsible for keeping her department up to standards within the Choice brand. And also for communicating when/if we need to make a change to be in compliance with standards.
• She has the kindest heart of anyone I have ever met. She is honest and trustworthy. She is reliable and responsible. She is a fantastic leader to our ladies in housekeeping.
• Maria is deserving of this award. She is an excellent example of an outstanding employee and we as a company are truly blessed to have her working for and with us.
