Congrats to our June Employee of the Month, Matt Warren from the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pocatello. Everyone who knows Matt would agree that he is a true team player! He has worked at this hotel since it opened in May 2014. Here are some additional notes from his nomination letter:

Matt has an extensive knowledge and background in many areas; just to name a few things Matt has accomplished in his career: including group project management, building maintenance, and project manager of new construction in the Pocatello area. Matt also has quite the green thumb, he’s been known to save many plants that no longer had an attractive appearance to be out on display. These plants are relocated and undergo special care and treatment exclusively at the direction of Matt.

Matt’s abilities and skills have saved our bacon many times and we are so happy to have him on our team. Just to name a few examples, Matt has helped rescue people of out of our elevator, fixed leaky pipes, comes back to the hotel to take care of special requests from our guests.   However, of the many skills Matt possesses, another of which speaks louder than words, Matt’s consistent ability to take “action” on the small things and the pride that he puts into all of the work he does. Matt’s work ethic and ability to communicate and work together with our head housekeeper and all departments to make sure that things are running smooth keeps our hotel in “Top Notch” condition.

Matt continues strive for not only the overall quality in the ongoing of maintenance in our hotel, but is very much a part of the guest experience. He works hard to make sure our guests have an outstanding stay each time and takes pride in the role he has. For those that have questions on outdoor activities and where to bike, camp, walk, or run, Matt is your guy. Matt is a true outdoor enthusiast.  A perfect end to any day for Matt is not complete without cycling. He is great to give tips and show on a map what trails and areas are best for someone who just wants to get out or someone who is more advanced and looking for a fun challenge.
