Congratulations to Dalyn Pfeaster our January 2016 Employee of the Month. Dalyn has worked at the Holiday Inn Express in Pocatello, Idaho since May 2014, where he helped build and open our hotel.

Here are some fun things his manager said about him:

His hard work, dependability and dedication was quickly acknowledged and valued by the construction company building the hotel and was a huge asset as they pushed to get the hotel built. Dalyn has learned almost every department in the hotel.

Since coming on board Dalyn has proven to be a very valuable asset to our team. He was hired in our laundry department and quickly earned top recognition for his hard work in this department. He can out fold any other person in this department. He never stops, his laundry is folded neatly and the laundry room is very organized and clean while he works in the laundry room.

In the maintenance department Dalyn works hard to assist with PTAC cleaning, weed cutting, mattress flipping, weekend maintenance, carpet cleaning, pool cleaning and many other tasks.

As the shuttle driver Dalyn is always here bright and early for a 5am shift and is NEVER late. Dalyn has never missed a shuttle shift even when a couple of times he has been sick he still came in to make sure that we didn’t have any shuttle runs that needed to be taken care of at 5am before he called out sick for the day. When Dalyn comes in for the early morning shuttle shift he starts laundry, shovels snow, helps in breakfast, puts supplies away, tests the pool and even chases down the furniture that blows off our hill down the embankment and hauls it back up to our hotel.

Always with a huge smile on his face and a positive attitude you will never hear a harsh or unkind word come out of his mouth. We rely on Dalyn for so many things that it is hard to mention them all. He is willing to come in anytime you ask him to work and will do any task. He has an eye for detail and always wants to make sure every job is done right and is always looking for ways to help the housekeeping team especially on busy weekends by stripping the beds in the guest rooms.

Dalyn is a person who has never given me less than 110% of himself. He is constantly looking for things that need to done and he takes care of them. Dalyn works with his heart and soul and gives 110% to everything he does. Like the old MasterCard saying goes “there are some things money can’t buy” and you can’t buy this type of employee. He is a special kind of employee that has a work ethic second to none and is just an absolute pleasure to work with. We are so lucky to have him as one of our valued team members.
