With the start of a new year we are excited to make our first Employee of the Month announcement!

Congrats to Melissa Dowdy from our Staybridge Suites! Your manager had some fantastic things to say about you and we are proud to have you as part of our team. Thank you for all you do with our IHG Rewards program and for going above and beyond for our guests.

Here are some notes from your General Manager, Jon:

“Melissa has worked here for close to two years. She started in housekeeping and was promoted to the front desk after seven months. Melissa has great enthusiasm for her job and pride to work for the Staybridge Suites. She makes our guests feel like they are coming home when they arrive here.

She was appointed as our Loyalty Champion a few months ago and is a perfect ambassador for our IHG Rewards Club program. Since her training for Loyalty Champion, Melissa hopes she can pursue a career as a trainer for IHG. She creates a fun and competitive way for employees to enroll new members and she has taught the front desk employees exciting new ways to gain enrollments. She keeps everyone up to date with the latest information from IHG to be sure that we are meeting all our requirements.

Melissa is not only a great employee for the guests, but all of our staff love her. She is also our birthday champion at the property and makes sure that everyone gets a handmade card and beautiful message on our announcement board. Melissa is more than deserving of being made employee of the month.

I see a great future for Melissa in the hospitality industry and am grateful that I have the opportunity to work with her.“
