Congratulations Jamie Bland! You are our April InnTrusted Employee of the Month!

Jamie Bland is the amazing Head Housekeeper at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Pocatello.  She was a key team member in the hotel opening and often spent many extra hours assisting other managers with opening tasks.  After being hired she immediately began training herself on the Marriott Standards for housekeeping while hiring her staff and keeping the front office team members busy learning about rooms and the housekeeping department.  On the team’s first day she rallied everyone together and it was clear through her enthusiasm and passion that she thought of them all as family and wanted everyone to succeed together. Jamie has always had full control over the housekeeping department and has molded her staff into the amazing housekeepers they are today.

She is dependable, trustworthy and honest, everything a Head Housekeeper should be. When Jamie steps in the door for work she is 100% focused and ready for the day ahead. She may be small in stature but is as big as a beast when it comes to her job. No obstacle is too big for her to face. Rather than letting long hours on her feet get her down, she is often found helping her staff make beds, taking a board of rooms for herself, or assisting the breakfast team in cleaning.

Jamie clearly understands that working in a hotel is a team effort. She is determined to learn all other departments of the hotel; she is fine-tuning her front desk skills, knows how to run a fantastic breakfast, and often assists the maintenance team. She knows what it takes to make this hotel shine and takes a great deal of pride in all that our team does.
