Doug Read, General Manager
Born and raised in Rigby, Idaho, Doug found his passion for customer service early, beginning his career at the Grand Teton Mall in Idaho Falls. After ten years, he set his sights on something bigger and moved to Las Vegas, where he launched his hospitality journey at the iconic MGM Grand as a front desk agent. Six fast‑paced years later, he returned to Idaho to be closer to family and continued his growth with Ameritel Inns, advancing into the Assistant General Manager role before stepping away to care for his parents in their final years.
In 2016, Doug reignited his hospitality career by joining the InnTrusted team at the Hampton Inn Idaho Falls Airport, quickly moving from the front desk into the Front Desk Manager position. His next chapter took him to Billings, Montana, where he served as the Assistant General Manager of the avid Hotel by IHG.
Today, Doug brings that experience, momentum, and passion into his role as General Manager of the Avid Hotel. He’s energized by the opportunity ahead and excited for what he and his team will accomplish together.
